2018 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS ARRIVING IN AUGUST

Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed the updated C-Class range – including the sedan, wagon, coupe and cabriolet – will be arriving in August, followed by the hi-po AMG C63 in December.
Speaking with CarAdvice, public relations and product communications manager for Mercedes-Benz's local arm, Jerry Stamoulis, said the core range will be launching in a couple months time, with final pricing and specifications to be announced around July.
In addition to the standard versions of the C-Class 'Saloon', 'Estate, Coupé and Cabriolet, the AMG C43 will also be touching down for an August launch. Meanwhile, the twin-turbo V8-powered AMG C63 has been confirmed for a December launch Down Under.
Key changes for the refreshed range include revised head- and tail-lights, redesigned bumpers, and new trimmings and garnishes depending on the exterior package specified.
Inside, the C-Class range is now available with a fully-digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a larger 10.25-inch central infotainment display.

The base C-Class generates 135kW of power and 280Nm of torque – matching the outputs of the current model's 2.0-litre unit – while the 48V mild-hybrid setup provides an additional 10kW and 160Nm of boost for short periods. Meanwhile, the updated AMG C43 also gets a power bump, with the 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 now making 287kW (up 17kW), while torque remains constant at 520Nm.
Performance claims, however, remain the same – with the sedan claiming a 4.7-second sprint from 0-100km/h, and the Estate 4.8 seconds.
